QUESTION OF THE DAY WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF SUMMER? Work with your child to create a list of their favorite parts of summer and why those parts are their favorite.	LETTER OF THE WEEK J Practice writing sheet Find the letter J around the house and discuss the sound it makes. Then practice writing the upper and lower case J.	NUMBER OF THE WEEK 15 Game Sheet Play a counting game by picking a card numbered 1-3, then have your child move a play piece across a board labeled with numbers 1-15, the number of times given on the card. You can print our game set or create your own.

Ask him/her questions such as "What’s something you would wish for?" or "What part of this story was your favorite and why?"	READING ACTIVITY BUBBLE PAINTING Help your child make art by blowing bubbles! Mix together food coloring and bubble mixture. Then using a bubble wand allow your child to blow bubbles onto a piece of paper. Once the bubbles pop they’ll leave a colorful design! CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE PRETZEL BREATHING Today we will be talking about how to control our emotions by using breathing techniques. You will be learning a new technique today called the Pretzel. The children will cross your right wrist over their left and turn their hands so their thumbs are facing the floor. They will then press their palms together and interlace their fingers. Next the child will bend their elbows out and slowly bend their head down until their chin rests on their chest.
