Talk with your child about different types
of emotions and specifically what type of
emotions they feel when encountered by an
insect. Compare your feelings towards with
your child’s and discuss why you both have
these emotions whether they are the same or

HAND PRINT LADYBUG
Help your child create their own ladybug using
their hands as the wings. Based on what you
have available at your home you can have your
child trace/cut out their hand prints or they
can use paint and cut them out. For the body
of your ladybug you can recycle something like
an old CD and paint it black or cut out a
piece of black paper. Finally cut out two
black antennae for the head of your ladybug.

by using breathing techniques. You will be
learning a new technique today called
butterfly breathing. Your child will take deep
breaths in and then release their breath
