To go along with our plant study talk about the types of plants your child would want to grow in a garden. Compile a list of the answers and discuss why your child chose the items that they did.

CREATE A FLOWER
Help your child cut out and decorate their own flower. After the flower outline is cut out allow your child to decorate the flower with available materials around the house.  Throughout the activity discuss the different characteristics of plants and what they need to grow and flourish.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
RING TOSS GAME
Create a ring toss game with your child and then go outside and play with it. Use a ruler or sturdy stick as the pole for the rings. Make the rings by cutting out the middle of paper plates. Try to toss the rings onto the stick, the further back you stand the harder the game will be!
